KRQE Gradegate Coverage is Marginally Truthful

If you watch Jessica Garate's report on Elsy Fierro's appearance before the school board;
link
you will see a fair and balanced report
of only a small part of the whole truth.

I absolutely do not hold reporters responsible
for the scope of their stories.

The issue that I have raised; the hiding of public records;
is an issue resolved much further up the food chain than
Jessica Garate, Susie Gran, Andrea Schoellkopf, or Zsombor Peter.

A senior administrator in the Albuquerque Public Schools
was scapegoated by Beth Everitt and the rest of the
leadership of the APS in the still largely secret
decision making process
that led to the grade change.

This was her first and only public defense.

Paula Maes, the senior most public servant in the APS
had an obligation to create a public record.

Her diametrically opposite decision
was to prevent the creation of a public record,
by turning the cameras off for all public forums.

The record that KRQE holds is not a legal public record.

It is never the less a public record,
it is the only public record,
and it is still unavailable to the public.

Along with a million other records of corruption and incompetence
in the leadership of the APS.

because of the deliberate and considered decision of KRQE
news director Michelle Donaldson (and Thomas Lang,
Sue Stephens, Thomas Lang, Kent Walz,
and Phill Casaus)

Michelle Donaldson,

or someone else at KRQE who's identity remains secret,
appears to be helping NM Broadcasters Association President
Paula Maes, and her Modrall law firm,
keep the truth about the ethics and accountability scandal
in the leadership of the APS secret from stakeholders.

The video record of Elsy Fierro's public defense
is a public record that just begins to illuminate the corruption
and the incompetence in the leadership of the APS;
Beth Everitt's corruption and incompetence,
Paula Maes corruption and incompetence
...

If Michelle Donaldson is not part of a conspiracy,
then let her identify the person at KRQE who is;

deliberately deceiving Albuquerque Public Schools stakeholders.

I will publish whatever response Michelle Donaldson offers.

But, in the absence of any alternative explanation at all;

I will continue to insist that Michelle Donaldson,
Thomas Lang, Sue Stephens, Thomas Lang, Kent Walz,
and Phill Casaus are part of a conspiracy to hide the truth

from APS students and staff, parents, teachers, tax payers,
and voters.

The original Diogones went around naked to show how important truthfulness in all things were. I may be slightly bending the gist of his philosophy, and will be content to be corrected, but now we have his opposite.

The Empress and Her New Elephant. She walks around with an invisible pet that eats up all the resources that could be educating our kids. They buy big homes, sports cars, trips to Europe, all with money better spent on remediating the repeating problems we have observed in APS.

Is there a way to petition KRQE? Is there a way to put pressure on their advertisers?
In the 70s or 80s, a similar incident took place where the new stations in the East were "fudging" news, so people got citizens to protest and ban the prime-time advertisers on the station. People wrote in and signed an agreement not to buy their products anymore because they advertised on an unethical TV station.
Can we do that here? I guarantee you if McDonalds or Walmart sees enough petitions, they will take ALL their advertising off, almost immediately.
Then we will see who they ally themselves with more..Paula Maes or their own ass.
I hope we can do this...now is the time. I know many that would be behind us.
Let's make a deal.... you make a seperate link to petitions that we can download and print, then we mail scan or mail them to you. Each of us pledge 100 (at least) signatures? I know you must have at least 50 avid readers, thats 500 signatures (at least).
Please give it some thought. We're prepared to do our part... you definetly DON'T stand alone, nor should you.

Thank you for your support.

I continue to believe that a large crowd at a board meeting is the only hope.

I don't believe that Michelle Donaldson cares about the opinion of 500 stakeholders, none of whom can do her as much good as Paula Maes/Modrall can.

Marty Esquivel is the Lawyer for KRQE.

In fairness, I believe that Mr. Esquivel is attempting to handle that potential conflict ethically.

I am more concerned that he will no longer stand up in support of an accountability audit.
