Hector Balderas offered State Auditors to the APS

And the leadership of the APS turned him down.

The minutes of two meetings of the
APS Board of Education,
Finance Committee show that the board was
reminded on
two occasions that the NM State Auditor
Hector Balderas had offered the assistance of his auditors.

Robert Lucero, the Finance Committee Chair, and the
rest of the leadership of the APS turned him down.

They are admittedly starved for qualified accountants, and
they turned down free and highly qualified help. Why?

What did the leadership of the APS
not want state auditors to see?

Why did taxpayers pay almost
$50,000 for an audit
the results of which, will be seen
only by the people who's
incompetence and corruption have been revealed by the audit?

Why did
Hector Balderas take no for an answer?

When will he demand that state auditors investigate the
several and severe problems in the APS Financial Division,
and the very real likelihood that large sums of tax dollars
have been stolen as a result?

APS has more conytol over a private company they pay, than the state. Easier to "gag order" a private company! No brainer.
Another win for corruption and elitism.
and, again.... WHY DID HECTOR ACCEPT tHIER REFUSAL???
