He has managed to add two more $125,000 a year administrators to help fill up Uptown.
It is consistent with his;
"all we really need is more administrators"
philosophy of educational administration.
I suspect that there are not many teachers and teachers assistants that have been thinking; gee I wish that there were more administrators.
Just for the record, a quarter of a million dollars would pay the annual salaries of 12 educational assistants, or five teachers.
At least Brooks will have two votes that he can count on, in any minor dispute with other administrators.
But not against the good ol' boys; because the new recruits
come from you guessed it;
the local pool of good ol' boys.

FYI
In today’s Speak Up in Journal.
APS HAS been caught cheating and has a $20 million shortfall that it will “fix next year.” No remorse, no accountability, probably won't be fixed next year, either. The same people that created the problem are going to fix the problem. — J.L.P.
I HOPE THE APS interim superintendent or our new esteemed leader reads this and gets the ball rolling on air conditioning in portable classroom buildings. There should be no excuses for thousands of school children and their teachers sweltering in classrooms. This is already happening with no relief in sight. I'll bet City Center is nice and cool. — B.D.B.
In every school I;ve ever been in, the admin offices are cool as a cucumber in Summer, and toasty warm in Winter.
However, often (such as the case in my high school here in ABQ) our classrooms in the main buildings are sweltering hot in April/May and damp and chilly in Winter.
Bur...the admin offices are always perfect climate, and when it's not, a service man is in within 24 hours or less.
When teachers ask for climate service in their classes, we are often told " You need to wait until Summer to be able to do repairs."
Funny,...and elitist.
