Tom Savage was not retired because he was corrupt or incompetent

The terms of public service are the prerogative of the public. Fundamental among those terms; public servants are accountable to the public, and to meaningful standards of conduct and competence, at least for the eight measly hours a day that we have to "trust" them with the control over our power and our resources.

I think that this is why corrupt officials and spies always ask for a resignation letter along with your acceptance letter into the same job, undated of course.
The despotic tend to also hire the REALLY poor, so they can fire them as needed without any messy legal battles of NOTE. Pay off the rabble with mere tens of thousands, thats it, so CHEAP!
So, yeah, Tom should have managed you and I and a bunch of others better, should have authorized BIGGER pay offs... In the eyes of the Good Old Boys? Is that it?
Well, I know he knew about Danny and Gil and all their shennanigans as I myself found out, I spoke to him personally, I sent him emails, and his secretary verified that he PRINTED THEM OUT.
So, yeah, good riddance, even if it is for the wrong reason. Brad will do better, I am back to Pollyanna Joe when it comes to people I really like and go "nah nah nah" with my hands over my ears when people say something bad about them.
I think he can prove to the jaded that not every person holding Tom Savage's position has to be a Good Old Boy.
