The terms of public service are the prerogative of the public. Fundamental among those terms; public servants are accountable to the public, and to meaningful standards of conduct and competence, at least for the eight measly hours a day that we have to "trust" them with the control over our power and our resources.

I'm a fan of your blog site Ched, but I read this one over and over, and I still don't know what it's saying in clear English.
Will you take another look at that and clarify please? (Maybe it's missing a word?)
Damn, and I thought it was SO clever.
A reader suggested, and I agree, that if Hector Balderas offered real whistle blower protection to APS employees, as part of a forensic audit, that there would be a line of people ( a stampede) at his door.
