"Parents voice concern over Rio Grande principal"

Problems surface in the selection of the principal,
who by the power of her leadership,
is supposed to fix RGHS. KOB TV link

Seems unlikely.

Does anyone know what the current principal did to get canned?
Has Winston ever given us a real reason?
Rigo Chavez complimented RGHS and EPMS for their accomplishments over the years, as he announces their forced replacements.
Does anybody but me see this as passive aggressive, vindictive, petty, and/or wierd?
What the #$$%^% is going on?

Your KOB TV link isn't hyperlinked (not working). Will you please give it to us again?
thanks

Wow... I went to KOB-TV and read the story!
She's worse than the principal hired for MHS this year that locked up Mexican students in HHS several years back because they asked her to keep up the bilingual program. By the way...for an update, ask any MHS student. The school is sliding back into it's pre-Whalen gang-banger days.
And this lady for RGHS? Wow...she makes the MHS principal look like Betty Boop.
Impressive Winston! Way to take us back to the good old days... when NAZIs roamed Germany and France freely! You must be real proud of yourself!

I think the good ole boys at APS, including Winston gathered around and said "What kind of asshole can we put in charge of that there minority school RGHS? If we put a white guy in, they call us racist. If we put a Hispanic guy in, they'll just be all cuddly together. Wait..... how about a hardened, prison-warden Hispanic person to straighten them out. Someone so desperate she'll do whatever we say?" Then they went to America's most Wanted -Educator Edition and found her.
APS has no real desire to do right for a "brown" school. If anything, they might be ashamed that the "brown" school was doing better than the others, and that really galled them?
Racism lives in APS!

Scuttlebutt has it that several people politely declined to even be interviewed for RGHS. Dunno for sure...just rumor

Sanchez did not get canned. After leading the school to the highest improved test scores ever known at APS he was told he was being transferred, he declined to be transferred. He then was not even allowed to retire at the end of the school year but told to get out now! Then when parents were outraged over the replacement choice which was made with no parent imput, he was asked to stay and help "smooth the choice of Torres over with the community" He is a man of integrity and is not going to help the community accept a worthless leader with a horrible history, so he left as first ordered. It is interesting to note at the last Instructional Council meeting worthless leader Torres kept repeating Mr Sanchez is still the principal. Oh if only that were true....instead we are stuck with a piece of passed trash! Welcome to the Dance of the Lemons!
