The editors of the Journal had the opportunity to make a strong statement about the corruption and incompetence revealed by the audits of the APS Police Department.
They had an opportunity to support Marty Esquivel's insistence that the results of investigations of public servants within their public service, are public records and must be surrendered for inspection.
They had an opportunity to insist that evidence of felony criminal misconduct by members of the leadership of the APS, be turned over to the District Attorney for prosecution.
They had an opportunity to insist on an impartial administrative accountability audit of the leadership of the APS.
The editors of the Journal had an opportunity to stand on the record in support of real reform in the leadership of the APS.
...but they didn't.
