Brickbat: APS

The editors at the Trib have given the leadership of the APS a brickbat for their "much dishonor" in gradegate.

I have two questions;

What is a brickbat?

And, what substantive change will follow the fact that the leadership of the APS has been given one?

My guess would be none;
there will be no surrender to the DA of evidence of felony criminal misconduct,
there will be no surrender of public records of public corruption and criminal conspiracy in the administration of the APS Police Department,
there will be no cleansing audit,
and there will be no transparent accountability to any meaningful standard of conduct, in the leadership of the APS.


And the Trib's response to that,
will be to give the leadership of the APS,
yet another piece of broken brick,
esp. one used as a missile.
