His conduct is the historical equivalent of the soldier who carries the flag that inspires his comrades, and makes himself a trophy target for enemy snipers.


Marty Esquivel has picked up the standard of
public school administration that is accountable;
both for its conduct and its competence.



In diametric opposition to their expressed commitment to these principles and values; the editors of the Journal and Trib are not standing up beside Mr. Esquivel.

Perhaps there is an ethical explanation;
I simply cannot imagine it.
