Put your opinion where the sun don't shine.

The Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education
will meet tomorrow morning. They are meeting to decide
who will fill the vacant school board seat in District 7.

Public input will not be allowed. link

I, and/or you,
will not have the opportunity to petition our government
on an issue of such fundamentally great importance.

I will not have the opportunity to suggest that the board
not appoint any candidate who is not willing to be held honestly
accountable as a role model of the student standards of conduct
and competence.

They will appoint their crony without the question having
ever been asked.

This is how the good ol' boy club got started in the first place.

When the crony is appointed, he will be given an incumbent
advantage in an election only a few months distant.

Please let us not forget that this appointment is unnecessary.

There is no demonstrable need to fill the vacant seat
except by election.

There is no reason to make this appointment except to grant
an incumbent advantage in cementing the board's defense
against an honest and impartial audit of their administration
of the public trust and treasure in the APS.

Gordy Rowe says it is alright to spare their crony
the hassle of election to the school board by eliminating the
election process from their ascendancy to the board.

I beg to disagree.

I beg you to disagree as well.

Really; I beg you to disagree as well.
