Winston Brooks personal integrity is on the line

Winston Brooks is the Chief Administrative Officer of the
Albuquerque Public Schools. As such, he is reasonably
responsible for the conduct of his subordinates. In particular,
he is responsible if he is able to intervene in their misconduct
and chooses instead to ignore it.

Almost two years ago, it became apparent that senior APS
administrators were involved in criminal misconduct related
to the public corruption and criminal conspiracy in the APS
Police Department, and in the criminal misuse of Darren
White's criminal background check system.

According to Rigo Chavez, none of the evidence of that
criminal misconduct has been forwarded to the District
Attorney Kari Brandenburg. This despite the fact that then
APS
Superintendent Beth Everitt promised stakeholders
that she would turn evidence over to the DA's office for
Kari Brandenburg's determination of whether or not
criminal misconduct had taken place and whether or not
there would be criminal prosecution.

Since the statute of limitations is about to expire, and it looks
as though that is the plan to avoid criminal prosecutions;
it is incumbent upon Winston Brooks to offer some manner
of explanation of what is going on in order to reassure
stakeholders that the good ol' boys are not pulling a fast one.

If Winston Brooks chooses instead to ignore the whole thing,
then it becomes reasonable to assume that he is a willing
participant in the cover up of the APS Peanut Butter Gate
scandal.

It is not too much to ask of Winston Brooks,
some assurance that his administration is not directly
involved in the cover up of felony criminal misconduct;
is it?

for whatever good that will do.
