APS grassroots community meetings

When I stood up at a public forum during the 9/3/08 school
board meeting, I complained about the fact that there was
not one single member of the leadership of the APS who had
the courage and the character to answer legitimate questions
candidly, forthrightly, and honestly.

I asked them, when were they going to offer an honest to God
public forum.

Winston Brooks announced at the meeting, that there were
going to be public forums. He assured me in a follow up, that

I will ask our Board services dept. to alert you of our
upcoming 7 grassroots community meetings that will be held this fall.
Well, guess what; two weeks later, nothing from board services.

Still no opportunity to ask legitimate questions about the public
interests. Still no venue where Brooks or anyone else will stand
still long enough to be asked a question.

The answer is;
"Maybe if you spring out of a bush somewhere."
The question was;
Under what circumstances might you find yourself
face to face with Winston Brooks in order to ask
him a question?
