Open letter to Journal editor, Kent Walz

The window of opportunity for meaningful pre-coverage of
the Policy Committee meeting over the Role Modeling clause
in the Employee Standards of Conduct, is closing.

Andrea Schoellkopf reports that she has not heard back from
her editor regarding my request through her, link,
for pre-coverage of the meeting.

I have written directly to Journal editor Walz, whose call
I believe it is.

Sir,

Next Tuesday morning, the APS Board of Education will
meet to decide whether they will replace the
Role Modeling clause in their own standards of conduct.

In no case shall the standards of conduct for
an adult be lower than the standards of conduct
for students.

The consequences of this decision will be more
far reaching than any decision they will ever make.

I am wondering if the Journal will cover the story in time
for stakeholders to actually participate in the decision making
process before it is too late to make a difference.
