I have heard back from APS Custodian of Public Records,
Rigo Chavez, regarding my request for a copy of the survey
they took, and for a copy of the results.
Rigo Chavez wrote;
"I am told by Michelle Osowhki of APS Research,The survey was done on or about February 18, 2009.
Development and Accountability that the results
of the survey will not be compiled until the week of
April 27 (2009)."
We are expected to believe that there is a good and ethical reason that it would take two months to score the survey.
But they cannot, or will not, tell us what that reason is.
Why take forever to score a simple survey?
Note to teachers at JCMS,
if you have the occasion to repeat the story about
George Washington and the cherry tree,
you will have to amend the story.
You will now have to tell your students that
Washington told his father;
"I'll get back to you in a couple of months."
It would be hypocritical to continue to suggest
that folks are actually supposed to tell the truth,
in response to a legitimate question.
Every generation
expects the next generation
to be the first generation
to hold themselves honestly accountable to the truth.
... with entirely predictable results.
