Ouch - from the CoGCS review of the APSPD

"Based on their past performance, it is not apparent that the Board of Education and the district's executive leadership team would provide the executive leadership , support and backing, and make critical and difficult decisions that would be required to create a safety, security and professional , fully authorized law enforcement department."

There is hard evidence and testimony that substantiates their concern. Both are being hidden from public knowedge by Beth Everitt.

The only reason to hide the truth;
is if you are damned by the truth.

Yet another wrinkle, the CoGCS may recomend that APS administration have nothing to do with running their own police department, but according to Channel 7 News tonight, neither Schultz or White seem to want to take it on other than training officers, which leaves us in the exact same position, Beth over seeing our own police problem with no accountability.

Council Announces Plan To Get Rid Of APS Police Department

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- An outside council is recommending that Albuquerque Public Schools get rid of its police department.

The APS police department provides security for 131 schools and keep more than 94,000 Albuquerque children safe each school day.

But a recent audit found the police department plagued with problems.

An outside council announced Thursday that it may be better to get rid of the entire police force and contract local law enforcement to provide security.

Albuquerque Police Chief Ray Schultz said that if his department had to assume those additional duties it would strain the department's resources more than they already are.

Bernalillo County Sheriff Darren White said that his department does not have the manpower to help.

Both the sheriff and police chief told Action 7 News that they are willing to lend resources to help reshape and train the APS police force.

Not only that; but the review recommended putting the police force back under the direct supervision of Tom Savage's position.

That worked so well the first time.
