After an “exchange” with Sheriff Darren White

I am convinced that the illegal background checks "allegedly" done by the APS Police Chief Gil Lovato were done on a computer in the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

So what?

According to a report on KRQE, Darren White will be part of a team of “experts” that will “review” the operation of Lovato's APS Police Department.

Among things the team should investigate, would be the illegal background checks that apparently have been done on the Sheriff’s computers.

I asked Darren White to respond on the record to the following question, "Since the BCSO is implicated in the corruption there (in the APS Police Department), is it appropriate for you to participate in the investigation of the corruption?" , he answered, "...the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department is not part of the APS corruption scandal."

How can his participation in the investigation be impartial? Did the leadership of the APS invite Sheriff White specifically in order to keep the lid on that end of the investigation?

At the very least it would be a conflict of interest; at worst it suggests that the leadership of the APS has yet another high ranking public servant participating in the cover up of the “alleged” public corruption in the administration of the APS.

I am one of the victims of the "allegedly" illegal interstate identification index checks done , yes, through BCSD NCIC, but at the behest of the school district.

I know this becuse i was interviewed by APS Security Police internal affairs as a VICTIM of the "alleged" crime in question.

I don't know who else was run for backgrounds after submitting a safety related whistle blowing type complaint, I just know I was because I was told by APS themselves.

So everyone is innocent until proven guilty, right? I have to agree with the "alleged" classification until someone is convicted in court. Until then, there is only probable cause to believe that a crime has been commited and is in the process of being investigated by both APS and Federal authorities. We CANNOT say that APS Security Police Special Deputies commited a Federal Crime UNLESS they are convicted. We live in America, where people's freedom and privacy mean something, where the Rule of Law is inviolate,...right?

As an alleged victim, you need not gnash your teeth or rage for me; I am seeking justice through APS channels and via legal counsel. I choose to beleive that the majority of APS administrators, many of whom I know, are good people. They will see the light if someone just opens the blinds.

Thanks for all your work, you are the coolest!
