how does giving bribes away to charity change anything?

every politico who's name comes up as another beneficiary of "campaign contributions" from courthouse crooks; gives the money to charity.

that seems to absolve them of accepting the "bribes" in the first place.

the message to our kids, apparently; if you get caught taking a bribe; just give the money back and everything is ok.

I am compelled to disagree.
