I am disturbed by the survey results

on a poll on heath haussamen's blog.

taken on its face, it looks like the upcoming special session for ethics may lack support. I hope it doesn't go down without a fight.

it is difficult to imagine a better opportunity for people to regain control over power that is fundamentally their own; than the opportunity to attach transparent accountability to public resources and interests in government.

it is difficult to imagine circumstances that will better lend themselves to engaging apathetic and disillusioned voters.
