Journal "Schools" section, Tuesday morning irk.

I always read the "Schools" section in the Tuesday Journal.

I look for balance and find none. The section is clearly devoted
to restoring APS' tarnished image, at the expense of informing
stakeholders about significant issues.

The Journal has made a deliberate choice not to investigate
or report upon the ethics and accountability scandal in the
leadership of the APS.

Neither have they investigated and reported upon the effect of
chronically disruptive students on, test scores, truancy rates,
graduation rates, and teacher retention.

Granted, I have grown a touch cynical over the years, but
I suspect a hidden agenda involving the Journal and
one of its largest advertisers.
