would have little trouble coming up with the money to fund
middle school athletics. Alb Journal, LINK sub. req.
Albuquerque voters have always enthusiastically supported
bond issues, and mill levies in support of public education
and the Albuquerque Public Schools.
Those days are long gone; it has come time to pay the piper;
even if it isn't in the best interests of students or the teachers.
Any one paying attention to public forums on the internet,
has noticed the greatly increased number of voters who now
say that it will be a cold day in hell before they give APS
any more money (to waste on million dollar board rooms and
other unjustifiable renovations to the APS Uptown Administrative
Retirement Complex).
The mistrust of the leadership of the APS flows directly from
the steadfast refusal of the leadership of the APS to engage
in candid, forthright, and honest discussions about
anything!
Stakeholders are routinely offered instead
Monica Armenta and her ilk; and now the kids are going
to pay for it.

I am one who will NEVER vote "yes" on a mill bond issue ever again. I fell for my admins pleas to "save the schools" last time...but not again!
