speakers have had the right to an option to speak during the
forum proper (presumably on subjects of general interest,
and not related to a specific agenda item), or
they could opt to speak to a particular agenda item,
when that item came up on the agenda.
For the first time in the history of the public forum at
school board meetings, that right was denied;
for you know who.
I wanted to speak on the agenda item;
"the adoption of the agenda."
I wanted to encourage some board member to stand up
and vote against another agenda that did not include
a candid, forthright, and honest discussion of
administrative role modeling of
the student standard of conduct.
And they wouldn't let me speak, and for
no good and ethical reason.
It seems that they have written a new rule;
No one can speak on an agenda item thatThey took a vote and everything.
precedes the public forum.
But why? you're wondering.
Normally at board meeting, the most of the crowd shows
up for the recognitions part of the meeting, and then leaves.
And then they have the public forum.
The practical effect of the rule is that the hundred or so
people who came to bid Tom Savage adieu,
had left before the public forum began.
Score one for the corrupt and the incompetent,
in the leadership of the APS;
.. the crafty little devils.
