According to the Journal link sub req. a political appointee
of Bill Richardson's gave another political appointee a no bid
contract on ATM's at the state fair.
It cost taxpayers at least $14K.
And there really isn't a damn thing that you can do about it.
On the other hand; the leadership of the APS "says" it doesn't
have to tell taxpayers how much of their money was spent
at the Uptown Administrative Complex, and on a brand new
boardroom, whose very existence is yet to be justified
by any one in the leadership of the APS;
not even Brad Winter, who oversaw all of the spending, and
participated in the decision making process that saw money
saved by doing away with school safety inspections, while at
the same time spending money like water
at 6400 Uptown Blvd.
And there is something that you can do about it.
Stand up to be counted in the effort to get the leadership
of the APS to conduct a town hall meeting; there to answer
legitimate questions about the squandering of the public trust
and treasure at the Uptown, and elsewhere in the APS.
Stand up in demanding candid, forthright, and honest
answers to legitimate questions about the public interests
in the public schools.
