"Pay to Play" in Mayor Marty's City Hall.

I have a personal friend who reports that when he tried to get an appointment to see Marty Chavez, on legitimate business, he was reminded that he had not yet made a "substantial contribution" to the mayor.

I have heard rumors that his case is by no means isolated.


I don't have the wherewithal to conduct any investigation
of allegations like that. Nor is it reasonable to expect me to.


The Journal does have those resources, and it is reasonable to expect them to use them.

I call upon our newspaper of record to investigate and report
upon credible allegations that pay to play is not the rule just
in Santa Fe, but here in River City just as well.
