Accord at the highest levels of the Democrat and Republican Parties.

Given; there is a culture of corruption and incompetence in
state government.

Political candidates have three choices;

  1. embrace it and share in the booty, or
  2. tolerate and enable it by trying to work despite/within it, or
  3. end it, at once and for all.
The leadership of both parties have apparently settled on the
second option.

Embracing it, even in this state, would seem to be political suicide.

Ending it, at once and for all, would mean that a lot of good ol' boys who are part of the culture of corruption will forfeit their reputations, their jobs and in some cases, their personal freedom, and their asses need to be covered.

Therefore, the Republicans and Democrats seem to be in agreement, neither will mention the other's failure to lay a plan to end the culture of corruption on the table for voter perusal.

It is a win/win situation.

If the people are added to the equation,
then it is a win/win/lose.
