Do you trust your government? Stig asked.

Scott Stiegler is subbing for Jim Villanucci today.

He has asked listeners if they trust their government.

If he asked you, and you had to answer yes or no,
how would you respond?

I suspect that an overwhelming number of stakeholders really don't trust their government.

The question morphed into; what can the government do to regain your trust?

How 'bout those who spend all of our power and most
of our money, stand up, look us in the eye,
raise their right hand and say,

I promise to tell the truth,
the whole truth, and
nothing but the truth;

so help me God (optional)

Marty Chavez for example, did not swear to tell us the truth about cops actually walking a beat, nor did he swear to tell us the truth about the red light cameras, nor about any thing else to do with the public interests, nor about his public service.

He, therefore, is not required to attend public forums or
answer any "desperate" questions.
