Taxpayers are owed an accounting.

Taxpayers are footing the bills for the misconduct of UNM
Head Football Coach Michael Locksley
.

Even though you are paying the bills, you are not entitled to
know how big the bills really are. Journal, link.

Taxpayers are being kept in the dark according to the law.
Not because the law "requires" public servants to keep it secret,
but rather because the law allows it to be kept secret.

You have a right to the truth, and the bigwigs, link, at UNM
have an (ethical) obligation to tell it. But they won't.

And you can't make them.

What more proof could you possibly need, you have lost
control over power and resources that are
fundamentally your
own, than to ask a question about
how they are being spent, only to be told;

it's none of your business?
