Janice Arnold-Jones "recent" bravery.

A comment has been left on a previous post. The commenter argues that Janice Arnold-Jones bravery is both recent and, motivated by selfishness.

To be clear, I reject both premises
utterly and completely.

For the purposes of this post only, let's assume that both are true; Janice Arnold-Jones is only recently brave, and now, only for selfish reasons.

I would argue; ok, but at least she is being brave now.

Who else is? Has Diane Denish, or any other candidate for governor, demanded that the state budget be published online now; in time for stakeholders to participate meaningfully in the upcoming blood letting?

Denish's commitment is limited to what she may do if she is elected; what she may do when she no longer takes her marching orders from Big Bill.

She is part of an administration which still has not been candid, forthright and honest about spending or revenues.

I would further argue; ok, but at least now, Janice Arnold-Jones is carrying a web cam into the legislature.

Diane Denish
is not carrying a webcam into the special session. She has not carried one anywhere, ever. She sat there and didn't say a word, when Senator John Sapien turned Senate webcasting into a pathetic joke.

Janice Arnold-Jones is not recently brave, nor is she now brave for selfish reasons.

Her character, her competence, and her courage are matter of record; long record.

Recent bravey? Evidently the District 24 Republican hasn't been in the gallery at 3 in the morning in the waning days of every session as Rep Arnold-Jones and several other R (and few D - very few D) attempted to hold the line, when the press is asleep, and the public is at home ... and the proverbial saugage gets made in the Round House.
