NMI's Trip Jennings filed this story, link.
The gist of it is that another government agency has lost track
of millions of dollars worth of equipment; lost or stolen.
Of all the emotions that one feels when reading about more
missing millions, surprise is not one of them.
Can anyone really say they are surprised anymore when they
find out that taxpayers have been cheated again?
Corruption and incompetence are common place. They are the
rule, not the exception.
The people who have allowed these losses, whether they
allowed them deliberately or inadvertently, are not going to fix
the system that allows their corruption and incompetence.
If it is going to be fixed at all, it is going to be from the outside.
Thousands of people standing outside the roundhouse,
demanding the end of the culture of corruption and incompetence.
