Why does the rest of the state get to screw up our school board?

A constitutional amendment was passed yesterday, statewide.

It increases the size of the APS school board from 7 members to 9. It does not apply to any other school district in the state.

KRQE reports that that amendment was rejected by city voters; the only real stakeholders in the decision.

Never the less, we will add two more members to a group that already takes forever to talk about everything. Ironically, Robert Lucero, who wastes more time at board meetings than all of the rest together, is a proponent for more people on the board; more people to listen to him when he talks, and talks, and talks.
