There is a process in place for naming schools; School board policy F.02 link which Robert Lucero would happily ignore.
"Names of new facilities will be determined by the Board after public opinion has been solicited through a committee that includes representation from the Board and the administration, as well as the community, staff and student population of the proposed facility."Lucero is spearheading an effort to name a middle school
after deceased author, Tony Hillerman.
What the heck, it is only a long standing past practice that protects the rights of stakeholders.
