New APS Superintendency Begins Under a Cloud of Suspicion

The over whelming majority of those commenting on the
record about the superintendent search

have expressed doubt over the integrity of the end of the
selection process;

most notably the refusal of any of the candidates
to answer "inconvenient" questions on the record and
before their selection.

The shadow will be lifted,
when we are assured that Winston Brooks is not just
another good ol' boy hired to keep everyone's asses covered.

All he has to do,
is to hold himself and his administration transparently
accountable to a meaningful standard of conduct;

such as the student standard of conduct.

In order to prove the integrity of his superintendency,
all he has to do is, to begin the first annual,
full scale, impartial Administrative Accountability Audit
of the leadership of the APS.

From the Wichita Blogs...

So far...

Hurray, time to celebrate. Brooks was such a liar, I am so happy he will be gone. Maybe our teachers and kids will now get someone better. Please take the administration with you Brooks!
We need to start fresh!

Go winston go, Go Winston go, out the door, go Winston go...........

Let us all pray that he is chosen and GONE ASAP...go Winston go...hit the road jack and don't come back no more.....EVER! Take a hint buster.

Hopefully this time we hire someone he or she will be qualified for the job. Great Job 259, pass the trash

thank god....can we help you pack?take your top heavy administration with you..maybe the taxpayer will get a much needed break now that your gone..your solution to any problem ..is throw more money at it...good riddance

His mission here has failed, and it was time to go. Besides, Albuquerque's a great place to retire. This time, I hope the district doesn't make the mistake of promoting within.

good luck "A" you can have him.....

you'll be looking to get rid of him after 2 years, and just have to live with him for the last year before his contract is up.

Smart move for Brooks especially if he can double dip & collect his KPERS retirement. Brooks knew that he had worn out his welcome. Hopefully with Brooks out of the way, insiders at USD 259 will not be afraid to speak out about the corruption & sexual harrassment in the district

GOOD LUCK ALBUQUERQUE.........Get out your WALLETS..........

Sounds like education is corrupt all throughout this country.
They'll (Witchita) be getting the same slim pickin's I'm sure.
Obviously, the decent Sups. don't plan on leaving their schools - just the ones who are getting pushed out.
I like Brooks - and I hope this person is wrong - but we'll see.
