The APS Finance Committee met last night.

They met to discuss and take action upon an independent
audit of the APS Finance Department;
an audit that was so critical of the department that the
State has intervened directly.

We are talking about spending a billion tax dollars a year
and having no way in hell
of making any sense at all, of any of the records.

and

By the deliberate decision of those involved;
you have no idea what transpired at the meeting.

So I will tell you.

No good ol' boy was identified, and none will be held
accountable for even as colossal a screw up as this.

In other states, the state will take over a district when things go so wrong. I wonder if that's plausable under NM laws?

The Public education department threatened to take over Charter Vocational High. But Sherry Bamman and her internal fraud crew had the information on Danny since February of 2004 - and sat on it and did nothing with it. Until Mr. Wesson of APS Intenal Audit had the balls to take it and run with it, pass it to Bob Casey and let him run over Danny Moon with it. Many others had the sme information for over a year and did NOTHING - The ACVHS Board, Gilbert Lovato, AV Romero, Tom Savage, Beth Everitt, ... the list goes on. Charles Becknell. Andi Trybus. Susie Peck. Nelinda Vinegas.

They all know what happened and had chances to act and DID NOTHING instead. Bunch of losers.

And who bailed out Beth but old buddy who was also screwing Lovato - maybe he has pictures of them or something, I would not put it past him. Lovato and Garcia were close - Veronica, not her ex-husband Patrick.

Just like Lovato was close to Dane West through Cynthia, so is he close to Patrick through Veronica.

Those ACE meetings make for literally strange and photographed bedfellows, apparently.

Thanks
Ched,
For reporting the news that no one else will.
For making sure that by reading your blog, the GOB have to comply with open meeting acts.
For eloquently making a case for upholding the tenants of Character Counts, even when no one else will.

I second that last comment!
Thanks Ched!

Tom Savage has been in charge of the Finance Department at APS ever since Michael Vigil left in 2005. Savage was also in charge of the APS Police Department. Why hasn't his head been put on the chopping block?

Savage has more professional lives than a cat! He must hold a lot of onteresting stuff for them to protect him so much!
Remember the old addage "If you don't want the government and auditors catching you,... keep sloppy records... there's no law against that."
APS sure took that to heart!

Is there a process/form in which taxpayers can demand that the APS money be accounted for through investigation/audit, with penalties if they can't produce?
Can anyone that is a tax payer demand action?
Hope so.
