The current standard of conduct for public servants
is accountability to the line drawn between tolerable conduct
and conduct so unacceptable in civilized societies as to be
against the law.
In truth, the most powerful public servants
are not accountable even to the law.
The leadership of the APS used to be
accountable to a higher standard of conduct;
the Pillars of Character Counts.
- back when, character counted.
- back when, the words role model
meant something in the leadership of the APS. - back when, their code of conduct read;
in no case
shall the standard of conduct for an adult,
be lower than the standard for students.
They are not accountable to the student standard of conduct;
by their own deliberate decision.
Are the Pillars of Character Counts
too high a standard of conduct
for the leadership of the APS?
but not for students in the APS?
Shouldn't one of them have to explain to us, why?
Should we begin the search for a lower standard of conduct
for our children,
in order that too much will not be asked of their role models;
the good ol' boys in the leadership of the APS?
