The terms of public service are the prerogative of the public. Fundamental among those terms; public servants are accountable to the public, and to meaningful standards of conduct and competence, at least for the eight measly hours a day that we have to "trust" them with the control over our power and our resources.

That's what a lot of teachers seem to feel. I've tried to motivate them to get involved, by reading your blog, or Eye On APS, or others discussion.
"I stay out of the politics"
"I don;t get invoved in thatt stuff"
"I just want to do my job"
They cheer (or bitch) when someone finally makes change, but most of them won;t get involved...go figure?
