Dick Knipfing told his viewers that the candidates for the
next superintendency were "grilled and sometimes roasted"
during the public meetings Friday.
If you attended any one of the meetings,
I attended three and a half,
you know, as I know, that simply is not the truth.
Not only is in not the truth; it distorts the truth,
it is dishonest.
Mr. Knipfing,
Cute headlines aside;
the headline that you delivered is deceitful.
It reads in diametric opposition to the truth.
Candidates were not "grilled" in any ethical sense of the word.
Far from it.
Even implying
that candidates took questions from the audience
is treading ethical ice too thin to bear weight.
In so far as the headline perpetuates the deliberate effort
of the leadership of the APS to deceive stakeholders;
I must insist that you disavow the headline,
defend the headline,
or retract the headline.
Before it is too late.
