Senate Majority Leader Michael Sanchez "defended" his webcasting bill, Senate Resolution 1, in Senate Rules this morning.
His enthusiasm is limited still, to cameras too far away to show his face when he speaks on the Senate floor, and prohibiting the archiving of the record, preventing its use against him in his next election.
The spineless measure passed.
Even Senator Tim Jennings voted in favor, after having spent a great deal of effort pleading his case, that he should not be filmed because members of other branches of government, judiciary and executive, are not.
Nobody said, life is fair, Senator.
Sometimes you just have to do what's right.
