The closest thing I have seen to a real effort to determine the interests of stakeholders on the issue, was a non-scientific poll done by the Eye on Albuquerque.
It is hard to use non-scientific poll information. The poll results, suggest that 8 of 10 stakeholders think it makes sense to arm APS police officers.
The results could be, coincidentally, spot on.
Or they might be worse than worthless.
The point is that; that poll represents the only effort that anyone made to determine the interests of stakeholders.
No one in the media commissioned a scientific poll. Nor did anyone in the leadership of the APS.
Despite the fact that the APS has a department called RDA, specifically equipped to do such a survey.
It is not readily apparent, why the Journal will not commission such a poll.
It is totally apparent why the leadership of the APS will not.
They don't give a rat's ass what stakeholders want. And
they don't want to create any evidence that proves it.
