"Unless school board members opposed to the idea can come up with more persuasive reasons against unlocking those tools than they have so far, they should give the officers what they need to do their jobs." Journal
(sub req)
Charlie Moore and the others prefer to ignore one really good reason not to arm the APS Police; the expert opinion of those who reviewed the APS Police Department after public corruption and criminal conspiracy was revealed in January.
It was their conclusion that;
"The failure of the district's Board of Education and its executive leadership to act on recommendations contained in previous APS PD studies suggests that they lack the interest and the capacity to oversee the functions of the department."
Moore continues to ignore (at best) and/or cover up real accountability issues in the leadership of the APS.
For which, I would suppose, the leadership of the APS is eternally grateful.
