On the subject of School Board evaluations of APS Superintendents

The APS School Board is required by law to evaluate their superintendent on a yearly basis.

The APS Board ignored the law when they decided to forego Beth Everitt's final evaluation, and then passed the lemon to Aiken County without her papers.

They broke the law, and so far refuse to answer any questions about their failure evaluate Everitt for the year of Gradegate, the Chinese Fire Drill for Principals, and the Peanut Butter Gate scandal in the APS Police Department.

They will neither explain, defend, deny, or even acknowledge that they gave Beth Everitt, preferential treatment, even in violation of the law. link

Nor will they explain or defend, their upcoming decision to extend Winston Brooks' contract, even though he steadfastly refuses to set a time, a day, and a place, where he will answer legitimate questions from stakeholders, candidly, forthrightly and honestly.

With friends like these on the school board,
stakeholders hardly need enemies.
