Monica Armenta's mother's name comes up in pay to play investigations

The Journal report is about a search for the names
of contributors to a favorite foundation of
Governor Bill Richardson. link

The Journal is trying to find out who donated money,
and what the money was used for.

The Journal reports;

"Loretta Armenta, president of Qwest New Mexico
and longtime community leader, was listed as
board secretary in the IRS filings.

She told the Journal she doesn't know who contributed.

"I actually got involved when Governor Richardson
(took office) ... the first year and actually have had almost
no interaction."

Armenta said she knew of no board meetings or a
Web site for the foundation."

This all sounds disturbingly like the story about
the APS Character Counts Leadership Council,

a group whose membership is still secret,

who apparently rarely, or never, met,

who applied for a federal grant through Pete Domenici's
office, whose details, including accounting, are still secret,

and who isn't answering any questions about anything,

even questions about their Character Counts! "leadership".

And finally, as the Journal pointed out; Loretta Armenta
is the President of Qwest New Mexico.

Qwest New Mexico
recently signed a sweet deal contract
the leadership of the APS. link

The lyrics change, but the melody never does.

Wasn't this the same lady who allegedly "paid to play" contracts w/ APS as well last year? (or used her daughter's position to get it)
