Public appeal for Villanucci support.

The market giant could, if he wanted to,
get hundreds of people to show up at the school board candidate forums.

Should standards and accountability be on the table
in the school board election?

Villanucci once claimed that he had laid rest a school mill levy.

I believe him.

He needs to step up again.

He needs to get hundreds of people to show up
at the school board candidate forum Thursday,
and demand that the candidates talk about legitimate issues;

  • standards and accountability, including an immediate audit,
  • administrative role modeling of the student standard of conduct
  • student discipline issues
  • the obligation of the leadership of the APS to present themselves in person, to respond to legitimate questions; candidly, forthrightly, and honestly.

The terms of public service are not the prerogative of the servant.
They are the prerogative of the master.

What master lets a servant respond to a legitimate question,
by saying, no comment.

Or worse still, refusing to answer altogether.

Candidates should talk about how they will respond to legitimate questions about the public interests. Will they respond candidly, forthrightly and honestly?

Or will they do what is being done now,
stonewalling on issues instead of telling the truth.

We should not be so worried that our children never listen to us,
as we should be worried that, our children are always watching us.
Upton Sinclair

If we really want our children to grow up to embrace character,
and courage, and honor,
someone has to show them what it looks like.

Leadership begins at the top.
