Dixon Award celebration planned for Board Meeting

The APS School Board will meet Wednesday, Nov 3. On the agenda, link;

Winston Brooks for earning the William S. Dixon First Amendment Freedom Award by the New Mexico Foundation for Open Government.
At the same time, Brooks is
  • hiding public records of corruption in the APS Police Department.
    The NM FOG, as an organization, has taken exception to the flimsy excuse Brooks offered for refusing to surrender to public knowledge, the results of an independent investigation into the involvement of APS senior administrators in felony criminal misconduct, link.

  • hiding the fact that he has abdicated as the senior most role model of the APS Student Standards of Conduct; the Pillars of Character Counts!.

  • obstructing an independent audit of executive and administrative standards of conduct and competence, and

  • denying due process to more than 300 whistle blowers who have filed complaints against Brooks and other administrators.

Brooks doesn't deserve
recognition as a champion
of transparency;
he has not earned it.

He is getting the award
because of School Board
President Marty Esquivel

who is supporting Brooks'
efforts to hide the truth
from stakeholders.

They both enjoy the support of Journal Editor Kent Walz who steadfastly refuses to investigate and report upon any aspect of the ethics and accountability scandal in the leadership of the APS. Walz and Esquivel are members of the NM FOG Board of Directors and together engineered the sham to falsely recognize Brooks for an honor he has not earned.

The NM FOG Board of Directors to their eternal disgrace,
are going along with the sham, despite guilty knowledge of the circumstances surrounding the award.

I encourage everyone to access last nights board meeting on the APS website to watch the board at its worst. Makes you want to puke! Self serving, arrogant, pompous fools!
