The burden is on Denish's back.

The Office of the State Auditor needs to be funded at a level
that will enable the forensic auditing that will end the stealing
of tax dollars.

Governor Bill Richardson
has turned a deaf ear to the
problem. His body may
still be in Santa Fe, but his
heart and his interests are
long gone; off on some cushy
assignment in some far off
corner of the world.

The burden is on the
Lt Gov, Diane Denish.

But she won't shoulder it.

She has had more than enough
opportunity, and has said nothing.

It has been well over a month
since she rolled out her plan
to end the culture of corruption.

The Denish Plan didn't include funding the State Auditor's Office when it was rolled out in July, and it still doesn't.

Whatever else is done in the upcoming legislative special session, the Office of the State Auditor, and the Office of the Attorney General could be given the tools they need to protect the public interests.

Bill Richardson won't even talk about it.
Apparently, neither will Diane Denish.
And, you have to wonder why.

What do they need to hide?
