One of the very best things Darren White has ever done.

Darren White played a useful role in the early 1990s in
the effort to keep kids off drugs; and he is to be applauded.

Enjoy the video of him and his band as they entertained
children and encouraged them to stay sober. link

Too bad he grew up to be a truth hiding pathetic excuse
for a public servant.

Darren White,

Where is the ethically redacted public record of
the felony criminal misuse of your computers by
members of the leadership of the APS? ??

Why are you hiding public records? ??

Yeah, he ignores what he has no answer to, he just stares blankly and goes on after blatant cover-ups and documented misuse of Triple I resources.

To my knowledge, still no report from BCSD, APS Police, State Police or the FBI documenting the misuse on a criminal report. Only internal memos, which I have copies of via IPRA, document the flurry of activity, show the Triple I's run by Lovato were not even law enforcement related, they were for personal use (cheking out future wives for criminla histories) and vendettas against whistleblowers.

And still, no reports charging anyone with state or federal crimes.

The summer of 1989 I graduated from the BCSD/TVI Sherriff's Academy, Class VI; I was also a certified police dispatcher prior to that. I worked for APS Police from 1986 to 1999, and then continued my career as a Safety Specialist for the APS Risk Management Department from 1999 to 2001. At that point, I was offered a job in Colorado and ran the Jefferson County Schools Security Division for two years. When my father was diagnosed with cancer, I moved back into town.

The job that I took at Charter Vocational High School was with a person who had run the auto shop at Eldorado High, where I graduated from in 1985. During the course of my employment with the Charter school, I discovered that Danny Moon was embezzling money, or more technically defrauding the State Education Fund for over a million dollars a year. I had a hard time turning in "Coach Moon", he had been the mentor of several champion baseball teams over the years, and was a Marine who served during the Vietnam conflict. But he was stealing from the fund meant to give our children a chance to become educated, well rounded humans; for this, I would not stand idle.

I was injured severely during the time I was attempting to report Moon to the police. The bungled initial handling of the Fraud case by Gil Lovato and AV Romero made it possible for Moon to stay in power for much too long; well after I had turned over solid, damning evidence regarding Moon's stealing of funds to them. Danny is now indicted on 64 Felony counts, including Racketeering and Fraud. Vindication after the fact is muffled by the painful circumstance of getting my eye cut open, of being hit by a vehicle, of being kicked in the head with steel toed boots. The list, unfortunately, goes on. I took Karate, Kung Fu and was a defensive tactics instructor. Or I might not be writing anything at all right now.

Every day of my working life, I wrote police, safety, security or preparedness monographs, reports, recommendations, and complaints. By adding the APS Safe School Plan Template to the list of "Things Joe is Glad He Did"? I can truthfully say that my efforts had a significant positive impact on APS student and staff safety in emergencies. The initial plan was to have a multi-disciplinary cadre of 40 instructors from varied educational niches, all of whom would contribute their collective expertise to the plan once we were briefed on what had worked and what had not worked in other school emergencies. We brought in the BowMac Company, and a group of 40 administrators such as myself were given a one week training. When it became clear that someone would need to actually write and implement the plan-to-be, the cadre began to shrink, until only myself and Mark Shea, Assistant APS Police Chief, had any input into the writing of the plan, the implementation of the resultant procedural changes, and any official training of staff.

The dynamic of personalities clashing over the personal control of sections of emergency procedures and the resultant staffing and funding to come for initializing and taking the brunt of the plan's preparation in staff duty days and work months was an unmitigated safety horror to behold. I became a writer of emergency plans by need, a matter of being deemed one of the two men qualified for the job. I was young in comparison with the other 40 who took the initial training, but had successfully been through both the dispatch and police academy, had been a field training officer who trained others how to apply police academy knowledge to school police work, and was wearing the damn heavy cloth stripes of the inverted chevron that went with having no other mediating ranks between your insignia and the gold shoulder bars of an Assistant Chief. Mostly, though, our Chief was a power hungry bastard who would not let anyone else participate so that he could get all the funding and manpower. Manpower means jobs to dole out and be a "Jeffe" that people are beholden to. Power games with people's lives was his aim, he was not really concerned with the fact that the planning team should have been multi-disciplinary, as the superlatively qualified BowMac team taught us.

Do I have beef with Lovato? Hell yeah I do. He would rather screw his dispatch supervisor than help me with getting Danny prosecuted for over counting charter school students, getting the extra funding attached to each fake student, and pocketing the proceeds. He and AV Romero had every opportunity to turn a case over to the DA, but instead ran illegal background checks on ME, looking for non-existent "dirt" to use against me. I have beef with him, as do I have pork and chicken; I even have a rare damned Mahi Mahi in accordance with Senor el Vato. May he rot in Hell for abandoning an agent in the field to wage an ongoing and costly battle that should have been his to fight.

Getting disabled on February 23, 2004 by Brendan Mulvaney, John Robert Black, Nicolas Simmons and Adrian Bogdan made it so that I am no longer able to be a school cop, or any kind of responder to crimes or emergencies. But I can still write. I can drive. And the person responsible for the Fraud and attempts at shutting me up is now having to explain in court why he did the things he did. Being a disabled whistleblower rather than a security agent of a school district gives you a whole new perspective on how things work in the world. Being the victim of retaliation for reporting someone for a Felony crime also makes you very cautious, while making a person more jaded and apt to shake their heads in disappointment in the spirit of Americans to fight graft and corruption, even if it is someone who might try to have your ass kicked or try to kill you. The blood of patriots is needed to renew the ideals of Freedom, to paraphrase a founding father, but that blood need not be in multiple pints from one thwarted whistleblower, but perhaps only measured in the ounces by an eventually vindicated seeker of mere American Justice
