The rush is on to fill the remaining vacancies in the Uptown APS Administrative Complex.
Offices in the twin towers of the newly refurbished complex are handsomely appointed, in a very prestigious location, and have breath taking views. Restaurants and shopping are a stroll away. Freeway access is a stone's throw from your own underground parking space.
If you want one of the remaining office suites, you haven't much time to dawdle. A hurried effort is being made to fill the remaining vacancies with the administrative elite and their indentured.
This despite a promise from the leadership of the APS that a significant part of the complex would be rented out to non-APS in order to mitigate the expense of buying and maintaining some of the most expensive office space in Albuquerque.
Students and their teachers of course,
need not apply.
As always, I will bow to (and honestly report upon)
any controverting fact.

I had the same misgivings, and I was apalled by what came after APS took the towers.
APS had the plan they would make money on office rentals. At the time, they were spread out over a few old elementary campuses.
Then, litle by little, people started flooding out of those old elementary schools and wind up at APS Towers.
Then they said they could rent or sell the old elementaries... and yet, lower level personnell still occupy them some years later.
Another act of privelege... those that had connections "waz movin on up to the sky on up" (Quote from the Jefferson's theme song)"They finally got a pece of the pie"
Unfortunately, they are tking "pie" out of the mouths that really need it!
Is it not interesting that Larry Barker is not investigating that which is already on public record? I remember the plan well. DeLayo was a big supporter as was the rest of the do nothing board.
