APS "edits" public forum; again

It has to do with your right to petition your government.

Your only opportunity to petition your representative on
the APS board of education, face to face,
is the public forum at a school board meeting.

A "video tape" is made of the meeting. The version that is
broadcast to the community, is compilation of footage from
a number of cameras.

The overt promise made by the leadership of the APS was;
no matter which camera footage is used, there will be a
continuous and unbroken recording of the meeting.

At the last school board meeting, I stood up at the public
forum, and suggested that there is a public perception that
the leadership of the APS was so corrupt and so incompetent
that it could not survive and honest an impartial audit.

I further suggested that the perception could be laid to rest
by a clean audit.

And further that, the leadership of the APS has an obligation
to either begin an audit, or offer up a candid, forthright, and
honest explanation why they will not.

The version of the meeting that APS gave to TalNet was
flawed. As soon as the public forum began, the audio
disappeared.

Is it possible that the two APS technicians that record
the meeting; are too incompetent to produce a clean
copy?

(Is is possible that the leadership of the APS owns
twenty three million dollars worth of accounting software,
that no one in the APS knows how to run?)

Was it an accident that the the inconvenient truth was
kept from stakeholders; again?

At least a dozen times before, I have been edited out of
the version of the meeting that is broadcast to the
community.

At least a dozen times before, I asked the leadership of
the APS why they are not honestly accountable to
meaningful standards of conduct and competence.

At least a dozen times before, that question, and their
response; stonewalling, didn't make it to stakeholders.

Six times, their Praetorian Guard;

  • a publicly funded, private police force
  • certificated by no one
  • accredited by no one, and
  • accountable to no one except the leadership of the APS
has arrested me in order to keep me from asking that question on the record.

Once, I was arrested by no less than their new chief
of police, Bill Reed, for wearing a elephant mask, and
standing quietly in the back of the board room.

Accident? Coincidence? Incompetence? Malice? Betrayal?

You tell me.

Better yet; you tell them.

Better still; tell the media that you want a candid, forthright,
and honest report from them,
on the ethics and accountability scandal in the leadership of
the APS.

Editing out inconvenient truths, maybe Al Gore should get on this.

If you look at the episode of the Wire where the politicians start figuring out how to shut McNulty and crew down, to stop the bloodletting and criminal indictments of the Baltimore Good Old Boys, you will see how the local people do as well.

If you look at the episode of The Shield when the Commish gets the sweet, sweet files on every corrupt politico - has all their secrets, the ones that they just had to have that much stolen money to pay for - you get how people with such files, and no morals as tho what should be done with them, can stall and corrupt investigations.

The people that the Good Old boys fear most, they can't understand us, are those who can't be bought. We want the criminals to actually get arrested. Not quietly retired or shuffled off to do harm in another school district, to hurt kids because the administration didn't een TRY to get them prosecuted.

The "Body Map" you speak of, the Gil Lovato file of "what icky crap is this powerful and rich person into, and here are the nasty photos"? I would make a hundred copies, send them to every newspaper, and cop I knew, and then write a book. American have a DUTY to report felonies and child abuse and all sorts of things, not just aa right but a real duty vis a vis the social contract.

That is why we types can't stay working in the schools - we see the corruption that everyone else ignores. And we don't want a PAY OFF,we want JUSTICE, and for education money to actually go to educating kids, not lining the pockets of already rich school employees and hangers on.

Zenlantern is correct. There are a few of us that don't want to be involved with enabling shady politicians and criminal administrators any more. I am proud of the way you stand up to the school yard bullys, and make no mistake, they act just like school yard bullys, piling on the lone wolf. Some people just never, never, never mature!
