"Character and class" in the APS

In the Journal this morning, link, APS' "selfless seniors";

"Students ... whose character sets them apart."

Most remarkable; these outstanding young people have developed their character without any leadership at all from their senior-most role models.

Senior-most administrative role model, Supt Winston Brooks not only will not hold himself honestly accountable as a role model, but cannot summon the character and courage to even discuss the issue openly and honestly.






Senior-most executive role model, School Board President Marty Esquivel not only will not hold himself honestly accountable as a role model, but cannot summon the character and courage to even discuss the issue openly and honestly.

At the heart of the matter, APS' employee standards of conduct and the role modeling clause;

In no case shall the standards of conduct for an adult, be lower than the standards of conduct for students.

The clause was removed from the APS Employee Standards of Conduct in order to except the leadership of the APS from honest accountability as role models of an ethical standard of conduct. They prefer instead to held accountable only to the lowest recognized standard of conduct; the law, and even then, only to that part of the law from which, their lawyers cannot litigate their exception.

The Journal of course, covered only the kids, and not the adults who have refused to step up as their role models.

Congratulations to the "selfless seniors" for their success in spite of the lack of courage and character being modeled at the highest levels of the "leadership" of the APS, link, link, link
