School Board Election turnout "dismal as ever"

In the Journal this morning, link, a report on the turnout
for the school board election;

"... turnout is expected to be as dismal as ever."
Shame on the leadership of the Journal.

Had the Journal lived up to its responsibilities; had they told
voters the truth about the corruption in the leadership of the
APS, the turnout would have been larger; much, much larger.

I agree with you. There just isn't much info. on this election & the candidates in the media.
I'm not in the districts up for election, but I've been trying to push as much info. I come across on my FB page. Wishing you luck!

They could have been telling us about the candidate forums several days in advance, so people could go and ask questions. Then they could decide for themselves who to vote for. If the Journal can't find them on the APS website under Known Candidate Forums, (http://www.aps.edu/about-us/board/2011-board-election/known-candidate-forums) they could ask any candidate in their district -- they would know. In Districts 2 and 4 most candidates had websites -- just search on their name to find it, or use the links in the mailings that went to people who usually vote in these elections.

I'll be casting my vote for you, and so will my husband tomorrow. Just so you know, there are still informed voters out here despite the so called media around here!
