"You pick a side when you don't pick a side." unkThe APS School Board Policy Committee intends to discuss and act upon a resolution to limit comments at public forums to agenda items only.
Send an email, link, to the board at boarded(at)aps.edu add a return receipt request so you know they got it.
Let them know that you believe the debate is important enough to make the best record possible. Insist that the meeting be streamed and archived; just like a regular board meeting.
My email read thus;
To whom it may concern;There is no reason to not stream and archive the discussion except that they don't want videotape of their betrayal of the public trust. They don't want to see their cowardice and corruption on YouTube.
The discussion and action to be taken in the Policy Committee Meeting Tuesday on limiting comments in public forums, warrants an earnest effort be made to make the discussion and debate available to interest holders.
It seems imminently reasonable to insist that the discussion be videotaped, streamed and archived as if it were a regular board meeting.
In the alternative, I am requesting a statement from the board justifying their refusal for any reason except their individual lack of character and courage.
grateful for your time and attention
Charles MacQuigg
Is there not even one of them who intends to take a position they are not ashamed to have recorded?
If there is a good and ethical reason to not stream and archive this critical debate, if there is any reason at all except their lack of character and courage, state it.
Click on comments and state it.
