Divide and conquer - Korte goes in alone.

On KOAT TV last night, link, we learned of the hire of another central office administrator who will be paid a whopping $80K a year.

School Board Member Kathy Korte has asked Supt Winston Brooks to defend the hire. He will, but it will be in a private meeting with Korte. No explanation has been offered as to
why he will not defend the hire in public and on the record.

The worry, that neophyte Korte will be bamboozled again, link.

Lost in the lead; APS teachers are afraid to speak up on this
and other issues for fear of administrative retaliation. Their
fear is justified; a recent audit of the APS by the Council of the
Great City Schools revealed a culture of fear of retribution
and retaliation
against those who make waves.

The district cannot point to any policy change that would mitigate that fear. The whistle blower program is a fraud. Complaints are routinely denied their final hearing before the APS Audit Committee, leaving complainants at the mercy of a vengeful administration.

KOAT has the story about the denial of due process to whistleblower complaints but will not run it at the behest of News Director Sue Stephens.
